TD Bank

Project Description

While at TD, I worked as part of the mobile app team, which at the time had over 2 million daily users - exposing me to a scale I hadn't seen in my previous agency experiences. I experienced many "firsts" during my time there: to work within an app (iPhone & Android), direct consumer research, internal stakeholders, a large development cycle (maintenance releases, quarterly releases and milestone releases) and cross-functional integrated team.

I worked as an interaction designer on the team, building out wireframes and working alongside the business analysts, visual design team & engineering to build functional specs. I had the pleasure of working on a concept project for the bank we dubbed "Zones" - a location-based service that would allow the bank to partner with local businesses to promote services and discounts directly to the banks consumers. Consumers could also locate their closest branches and additional banking services. Sadly, the project was never launched but certain features were integrated into the app roadmap for future releases.

Overall, we worked on the project for about a year an a half, went through multiple rounds of internal prototyping and a couple rounds of user validation. We continuously sold the project to multiple internal stakeholders to in order to securing funding and build a sales case for how they would approach businesses.
